Rolla High School will honor area veterans with a luncheon and special assembly Friday, Nov. 11. All area veterans are encouraged to participate in the celebration which kicks off with a chili luncheon at noon, and encouraged to stay to be honored at an assembly that follows at 1:30.
Those wishing to join should RSVP by calling 458-0140 ext. 14302 or via e-mail at mgillis@rolla.k12.mo.us. At 1:30 p.m., MS&T’s Army ROTC students will kick off the assembly with the presentation of colors.
The assembly will feature two speakers, Dennis “Doc” Roberts and Vern Lowrey, as well as performances by the Rolla High School and Rolla Junior High School choirs and Rolla Men of Song, which are under the direction of Jeff Sandquist.
