Elegance, decor made memories
So Zeno’s is closing ...
I, like so many Rollaites, have so many fond memories of this restaurant. Since my family moved to Rolla in 1977, Zeno’s was the place to go for that special dinner.
Then, in 1981, when I started to work at Rolla State aka Centerre aka Boatmen’s Bank, I was a regular, almost daily, guest, whether I was taking customers out to lunch, or having monthly Vista Club aka Super Set Club meetings or planning with other volunteers the annual Gala for the American Cancer Society. And there are many various groups and clubs in Rolla that had their regular meetings at Zeno’s.
Zeno’s will be missed by us all. Where else could you go to a nice, elegant restaurant and not have to worry about the decorations (the place was always beautifully decorated), the PA system, the acoustics, the parking, the wait staff and the food.
I realize that times have changed like Mike said in the Rolla Daily News article about the closing.
Zeno’s was part of Rolla, a landmark, if you wish, and will be missed.
Zeno’s, thanks for the memories; they are plentiful and beautiful. Mike and family, best of luck in your future endeavors.

Chicken, special occasions a hit
I'm so sorry to hear that Zeno's is closing! Growing up, Zeno's was always my favorite restaurant because they have the best fried chicken. (I hope they start serving it at the new place.) My family has celebrated several birthdays, anniversaries and special occasions there. I always make sure I go at least once when I am in town. It will be missed!

First dinner date legendary
Hi from South Texas,
I was born and raised in Rolla. I remember very well the many wonderful meals and parties that I attended at Zeno's. I went there for my first dinner date. What a meal to remember, and the date wasn't bad either!! Our class of ‘62 reunion has been held there several times. I will miss not being able to go there next year when we celebrate our 50th class reunion.
