S&T students nominated for Homecoming King

Missouri University of Science and Technology student organizations have nominated 16 students to compete for the title of 2009 Homecoming King.

 

The winner is chosen after interviews and a campuswide election held the week prior to Homecoming, which is on the weekend of Oct. 23-25.

 

The king and queen, and the runners-up, will be announced during halftime ceremonies of Missouri S&T’s Homecoming football game on Saturday, Oct. 24. The game, which features Missouri S&T and University of St. Francis, starts at 1 p.m.

 

The king candidates are:

 

-- Will Difani, a senior in mechanical engineering from St. Louis, nominated by Tau Kappa Epsilon

-- Jonathan Freeman, a senior in computer engineering from Hannibal, Mo., nominated by Sigma Nu

-- Chuck Hlinak, a graduate student in engineering management and electrical engineering from St. Peters, Mo., nominated by Zeta Tau Alpha

-- Corey Ipock, a senior interdisciplinary engineering from Festus, Mo., nominated by the Thomas Jefferson Hall Association

-- Matthew Lyons, a senior in electrical engineering from St. Louis, nominated by Kappa Sigma

-- Kenneth Moore III, a junior in technical communication from Vienna, Mo., nominated by Kappa Delta

-- Phillip McGee, a senior in environmental engineering from Park Hills, Mo., nominated by the DaVinci Society

-- Curtis McDonald, a senior in mechanical engineering and engineering management from Belleville, Mo., nominated by Chi Omega

-- Timothy Perkins, a sophomore in mechanical engineering from Wilmington, Mo., nominated by Alpha Epsilon Pi

-- Daniel Ryan, a senior in mechanical engineering from Springfield, Ill., nominated by Pi Kappa Alpha

-- Jason Schlueter, a senior in mechanical engineering from Lafayette, Ind., nominated by Phi Kappa Theta

-- Steven Tung, a senior in engineering management from Chesterfield, Mo., nominated by the Quadrangle Hall Association

-- Christopher Tutza, a junior in aerospace engineering from Belleville, Mo., nominated by Tau Beta Sigma

-- Paul Voss, a senior in engineering management from St. Louis, nominated by Student Council

-- Michael Wyatt, a senior in computer engineering from Bay City, Texas, nominated by the Student Union Board

-- Nicholas Yutzy, a sophomore in aerospace engineering from St. Louis, nominated by the Residential College.
