With a cast and crew of more than 50 people, “The Prince and The Pauper,” a musical adaptation of Mark Twain’s classic story, Fine Linen Drama will present three additional performances at 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday at the Ozark Actor’s Theatre.
“The Prince and The Pauper” is a story of two boys from extremely different backgrounds and the adventures they encounter after exchanging places.
The stage production is written by Neil Berg, Bernie Garza and Ray Roderick. The major characters include the Prince, played by Alex Goff; the Pauper, played by John Nisbett; the hero, Miles Hendon, played by Nathan Brown; and Lady Edith, played by Janessa Brown Martin.
Fine Linen Drama Founder Kim Nisbett, in describing the production, said, “This family-friendly, uplifting drama will be enjoyed by all ages. It features wonderful music, powerful drama, great comedy, and even real sword fighting.”
While many of the actors in “The Prince and The Pauper” are performing on the stage for their first time, many have appeared in previous Fine Linen Drama, OAT and Missouri S&T (formerly UMR) productions.
Founded and directed by Keith and Kim Nisbett, Fine Linen Drama provides homeschool students in the area the opportunity to participate in theater productions. The organization also strives to provide the community with quality, wholesome, live-theater entertainment.
Fine Linen Drama most recently produced “You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown,” “Shenandoah” and “The Miracle Worker.”
Performances of “The Prince and The Pauper” will be presented at 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday at the Ozark Actor’s Theatre, 701 Cedar St., in Rolla.
