Rolla Public Library is moving forward on a number of fronts this month, as the Library Board discussed a key issues during its meeting Thursday.

With the end of the year approaching, the library will say goodbye to long-term librarian Cheryl Goltz as she is scheduled to retire after December.

In the meantime, the library is training Lawrie Seltzer to take over as interim director until a permanent replacement is hired.

“Lawrie Seltzer is sharp and is picking it up pretty well,” Board President Larry Bowen said Tuesday.

During the meeting, a number of responsibilities were transfered to Seltzer, including becoming the co-signer for bank documents and the library’s Master Card.
