Errors too much to overcome for Lady Bulldogs.

The Rolla High School softball team, hammered by errors, fell to 0-2 by falling to Union 14-6 Monday in non-conference action.

Only a varsity game was played due to the later start and heat.

Union outhit Rolla 12-9. The Lady Bulldogs committed 12 errors.

Skylar Turner and Amber Breen each pitched for the Lady Bulldogs, with Turner taking the loss. Turner worked the first four innings, allowing nine runs (two earned) on nine hits and one walk. Breen pitched two innings and gave up five runs (three earned) on three hits and six walks.

Kayla Reed was 2-for-5 with a double, two runs scored and two stolen bases for RHS while Mackenzie Masters was 2-for-4 with a run and two RBI; Kameron Jordan 2-for-4 with a run; Chayce Ayars and Turner each had a hit and RBI; Courtney Spencer had a hit, and Alexis Newkirk scored a run.

Rolla is slated to host Cuba today in another non-league game, starting at 4:30 p.m. at the D. Kent King Memorial Field, located next to the Rolla Middle School.
