  • Almost 3 dozen reports of damaged windows made

  • Since Friday the Rolla Police Department and the Phelps County Sheriff's Department have taken destruction of property reports of about 35 different vehicles with windows shattered as if they were shot out with a BB gun.

  • Since Friday the Rolla Police Department and the Phelps County Sheriff's Department have taken destruction of property reports of about 35 different vehicles with windows shattered as if they were shot out with a BB gun.
    The reports have come from various places in the city and county.
    Among the incidents were the following listed in the RPD’s Monday, Aug. 4, incident report:
    Rolla police officers responded to the 500 block of Basswood Drive for a report of property damage, in which a window valued at $400 had been broken out of a vehicle.
    Another property damage report was made in the 1500 block of McCutchen Drive. Further investigation revealed that a vehicle’s window was busted out. The total value of loss is $300.
    A report of another window busted out also was made in the 1500 block of Scenic Drive The total value of loss is $300 in this incident.
    Also Monday, a Rolla police officer responded to the 1300 block of Broadway Street for a report of a vehicle window that was busted out. The total value of loss is $200 in this case.
    Officers also responded to the 900 block of Parkwood Drive for a report of seven vehicles that were reported as damaged. The damages were valued at $1,475.
    Then in the 10 block of Summit Avenue a report of property damage was made in which three windows on the driver's side of his vehicle had been broken. The estimated damage is valued at $1,000.
    Additionally, Rolla police officers responded to the 300 block of Victoria Lane for a report of a window, valued at $300, that had been broken out of a vehicle.
    The Rolla police also reported that in the 800 block of Cedar Hill Court, other vehicles’ windows were busted out. Both victims reported a loss of $300 each.
    Officers with both the police and sheriff’s departments are investigating these cases and would appreciate any information that might lead to an arrest.
