  • As we’re getting closer to the ’14 midterm elections, I’m beginning to hear some chatter similar to that which prevented the victory by Romney over Obama in ’12. The ole’ “Romney is just as bad, IF NOT WORSE, than Obama” crowd is now cheering up the current dead-in-the-water Democrats. The new cheer: “Republicans are just as bad, IF NOT WORSE, than Democrats.”  I’m pretty sure that’s a time-worn Dem strategy—and Republicans go right along.
Dems WON the national ’12 election because they got the vote out, while four million Republicans handed us another four years of the worst and still digging-a-hole Presidency.
My question to those who sat on their hands: By what measure, after four failed years of President Obama, could you say that Governor Romney was just as bad or worse?
“Agree with me on 9 of 12 issues, vote for me—agree with me on 12 of 12 issues, see a psychiatrist” Ex New York Mayor, Ed Koch
When I cohosted on the Talk to (Stan) Solomon Show, Stan’s friend, Ambassador Alan Keyes was a guest. Ambassador Keyes, a four-time presidential candidate, was the sacrificial lamb of the Republican Party which convinced Alan to run against Barack Obama in his race for the US Senate. Alan claimed the Republican Party didn’t support him, as he got clobbered by Obama.
I had a lot of respect for the Ambassador’s intellect and his service in the Reagan Administration. During the show, Keyes shocked me when he opined that voting for Governor Romney was just as bad as or worse than voting for Obama for a second term.
I was incredulous! I strongly challenged Keyes. I saw his assertion as illogical. I have been certified right by Obama. He has “free-falled” his leadership of the world in general and the USA in particular down an ever deepening slide to Socialistic anarchy.  We are disrespected at home and abroad by just about everyone.
There is no frikkin’ way Romney would or could have done worse.
This idiotic, “if I’m not happy with our candidate, I’m gonna help us lose” is suicidal! Get over it!
Take a lesson from Ronald Reagan:
“Somebody who agrees with me 80% of the time is a friend and ally, not a 20% my traitor” Ronald Reagan
If one lays out the disastrous record of the Obama Administration and his sycophants in the Democratic Party that should be enough of a case for a change in the ‘14 and ’16 elections. In fact, if Obama and his Czars had been in the private sector or working for a public corporation they would have been thrown out on their ears.
Page 2 of 2 - This isn’t enough for some on the right. They insist on having the candidate with 100% conservative credentials, whatever those are.
Two examples from my radio show occurred about a month ago. One of my callers, Kevin, the unofficial spokesperson for the Obama Administration in the Midwest, opined about how evil it was that conservatives condemn gay marriage. I said, that while I understand the Biblical and legal ramifications of it, I didn’t give a rats’ arse whether they married each other or not. It obviously didn’t bother Rush Limbaugh a few years back when he paid a same-sex married Elton John a $million to perform at his wedding.
The rest of the show was me being dragged over the coals by some in my conservative audience, who for the most part agree with just about everything I represent. Some might not listen to me again. Most will forgive and listen further, but as I told them then and will tell them again, there are no absolute rules to being a conservative!
The other issue was that I take Kevin’s calls at all. I told my audience, if we don’t know our enemy, how do we fight them?
Israel didn’t go into Gaza without a good idea where the rockets were being launched from, where the tunnels are or how Hamas wants to murder every Jewish man, woman and child.
So if our next candidate doesn’t have a strong negative view on gay marriage, I guess we’ll have to watch the country sink into the abyss of history.
    Right?
To quote John Belushi in Animal House “Not me! I’m not gonna take this.” Give me a Palin, Cruz, Walker or a Romney, Bush or Christie. I will support any of these people against the likes of Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton.
It may be the last chance for America, conservatives.
Do not spend the next elections sitting on your hands!
