  • Law enforcement officers from the South Central Drug Task Force, Rolla and St. James Police Departments, the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the Phelps and Dent County Sheriffs' Departments, and the office of the prosecuting attorney  conducted a drug-warrant roundup  Tuesday morning. This was the second drug roundup in less than six weeks.
During this operation twenty-five suspects were located and arrested.  Seven of those were previously incarcerated on other cases.  These arrests were the result of long-term narcotics investigations by the South Central Drug Task Force and had been presented to a grand jury for indictments.  Four of these arrests were for incidental drug-related crimes.
Phelps County Sheriff,  Richard L. Lisenbe, said, “This warrant roundup should send a strong message to the criminal element of Phelps County that we are serious about stopping the flow of illegal drugs in this community.  We will continue our efforts to curtail the illegal drug trade in Phelps County.”
