  • First half ends for Rolla Coed Softball League.

  • FINALLY, the Rolla Coed Softball League avoided enough raindrops to complete its first-half schedule on Thursday.
    Grisham Backhoe won the Middle Division first-half title with a 9-0 record while Central Missouri Sportscards took the Lower Division crown with a 7-1 record. There is no Upper Division this season.
    Central Missouri Sportscards tied with Insidious with 7-1 marks in the Lower Division. Central Missouri Sportscards won the first-half title on a head-to-head tiebreaker. Missouri S&T Staff was third in the Lower Division with a 6-2 record.
    Extreme Accessories finished second to Grisham Backhoe in the Middle Division with a 8-1 mark.
    The second-half schedule is to begin this week.
    Here are Thursday’s games, which were held at Ber Juan Park:
    Middle Division
    Grisham Backhoe 14, Woody’s Bunch 10: Bryan Furse blasted two homers and scored three runs while Mike Clardy had a homer and scored twice and Shelby Friend, Andrew Lott, Nathasha Lewis and Amanda Swyers each scored twice as Grisham Backhoe won. Masen Ridenhour had a homer and scored twice and Josh McBride, Duane Spurgin and Sabrina Henson each scored twice for Woody’s Bunch.
    Somewhere Else Bar & Grill 12, Woody’s Bunch 8: Bill Skaggs scored four runs while Dana Perkins scored three times and Mike Sloan twice as Somewhere Else Bar & Grill won. Tara Abernathy scored a pair of runs and Ridenhour had two hits and scored a run for Woody’s Bunch.
    Grisham Backhoe 17, Somewhere Else Bar & Grill 6: Slone and Furse each scored three runs while Tori Whitelock and Friend each scored twice as Grisham Backhoe won. Skaggs had a pair of homers and Spurgin scored twice for Somewhere Else Bar & Grill.
    Grisham Backhoe 19, Extreme Accessories 10: Slone belted two homers and scored three times while Ben Menary scored three runs and Clardy, Swyers, Andy Jones and Ashley Grisham each scored twice as Grisham Backhoe won. Stevie Whitson had a homer and scored three runs while Mike Sparks homered and Sabrina McMasters scored two times for Extreme Accessories.
    Snatchin’ Softballs 16, Katie @ Tara Day Spa 4: Fernando Villa had a homer, double and two singles, Jason Nixon had a homer and single and Marcus Jenson and Tara Abernathy each had three hits as Snatchin’ Softballs won. Dustin Woody had a homer and double, Davy Watkins homered and Maegan Shults had three hits for Katie @ Tara Day Spa.
    J&S Small Engine Repair 17, Katie @ Tara Day Spa 5: Tony Marzuco and Tommy Martin each had three hits and scored three runs while Amanda Helton had three hits and scored twice as J&S Small Engine Repair won. Brad Kinder had a homer, single and scored twice for Katie @ Tara Day Spa.
    Page 2 of 3 - High-Tech Roofing 14, Tater Patch 4: Mike Sparks had a homer, double and single while Zac Maedgen had four hits and Donny Roshan had a triple and two singles as High-Tech Roofing won. Chris Kamprath had two hits and scored a run and Justin Martin had two doubles for Tater Patch.
    Woody’s Bunch 15, Katie @ Tara Day Spa 2: Scott Baker launched two homers while Josh McBride had four hits and scored three runs, Wyatt Porter had two doubles and scored three runs and Darian Grosan had two hits and scored four runs as Woody’s Bunch won. Dustin Woody had a homer and two singles and Katie Rask singled and scored for Katie @ Tara Day Spa.
    Extreme Accessories 15, Tater Patch 6: Mike Sparks had a homer, double, single and scored three runs while Shawn McNulty had two homers and a single; Sarah Duckworth had two hits and scored four times, and Stevie Whitson had three hits as Extreme Accessories won. Cody Goodin had a homer, double and single and Janet Shephard had a hit and scored twice for Tater Patch.
    Extreme Accessories 25, Mark Williams Distribution 10: Whitson had two homers, a double, a single and scored four times while Sparks had a homer, double, single and scored four runs; Derek Heflin had four hits and scored four runs, and Lindsay Heimbaugh had four hits and scored three times as Extreme Accessories won. Bryan Johns had a homer, double and single while Renate Richardson had three hits for Mark Williams Distribution.
    Mark Williams Distribution 12, J&S Small Engine Repair 8: Richardson and Danny Karnes each had three hits and scored three runs while Johns had a homer and two doubles as Mark Williams Distribution won. Tommy Martin and Toby Lewis each had two hits and scored twice and Billy Rhodes homered for J&S Small Engine Repair.
    J&S Small Engine Repair 15, Tater Patch 14: John Hayes’ single plated Tommy Martin with the winning run in the bottom of the sixth inning as J&S Small Engine Repair won. T. Martin had a homer and single for the winners while Tony Marzuco had a double and two singles and Lynn Richter had a double and two singles. Justin Martin had a double, single and scored three runs while Tessa Piatt and Lee Hufford each had three hits and Goodin had a homer and single for Tater Patch.
    Lower Division
    Cleats & Curves 9, Party Pro 8: Sam Nelson’s home run in the bottom of the sixth inning was the game-winning blow, as Cleats & Curves won. Nelson had a homer, triple, double and scored three times for the winners while Jordan Davis had two doubles, a single and scored three runs and Rob Hribar had two hits. Gabe Madina had a homer, two doubles and scored three runs while John Butz had a homer, single and scored twice and Steve Underwood had a pair of hits and scored a run for Party Pro.

Rob Hribar had a homer, single and scored three runs for the winners while Brett Gresham had a double and single and Katie Curtis had three hits. Matt Bellue had a homer, double and scored twice while Nelson and Davis each had three hits and scored twice for Cleats & Curves.
