  • Friend drives in game-winner for Newburg.

  • Seeley Friend’s single scored Courtney Suschanke with the winning run in the bottom of the fourth inning, lifting Newburg to a 6-5 victory over Willow Springs Wednesday in the 18-Under Division of the Rolla Girls’ Fast-Pitch Softball League action at Ber Juan Park.
    C. Suschanke had a triple, single and scored two runs for the winners while Friend had two hits and scored a run and Alexis Stevenson singled and scored. Kianna Rothermich scored twice and Darby Hines singled and scored for Willow Springs.
    In other fast-pitch league action from Wednesday:
    18-Under Division
    Willow Springs 14, Newburg 3: Kersten Loman had a double and scored twice and Kianna Rothermich and Grace Minge each had a hit and scored twice as Willow Springs won. Sarah West singled and scored and Nicole Wilhelm and Ariana Young each scored a run for Newburg.
    Owensville 8, Sullivan 2: No last names were provided for either team.
    Owensville 5, Sullivan 4: No last names were provided for either team.
    16-Under Division
    Drive Rolla 12, Richland 1: Chayce Ayars doubled and scored while Jaedyn Weimer had two hits and scored twice and Becca Roark, Olivia Tharp and Erin Wilson each scored twice as Drive Rolla won. Emily Liatt singled and scored for Richland.
    Richland 11, Drive Rolla 6: Taylor Pepe had two hits and scored three runs while Amarie Walters had two doubles and scored a run and Kelsea Strout had a double and single as Richland won. Ayars homered and scored three times while Michaela Sanborn had a double, single and scored twice for Drive Rolla.
    Rolla Fusion 8, Cuba Wildcats 4: Paige Johnson scored two runs while Alex Kitchens singled and scored as Rolla Fusion won. Sierra Worthington had a double, single and scored twice for Cuba.
    Rolla Fusion 8, Cuba Wildcats 1: Kendra Cameron had a double and single while Kitchens doubled and scored twice and Alexa Foltz scored three times as Rolla Fusion won. Kristen Smith scored the lone run for Cuba.
    Mid-Mo Evolution 12, Rolla Superior 0: Bekah Kirker tripled and scored two runs while Morgan Loggins had a triple and single and Kirsten Strebe had two hits and scored twice as Mid-Mo Evolution of Waynesville won. Ryann Rigsby doubled for Rolla Superior.
    Mid-Mo Evolution 15, Rolla Superior 0: Dani Davis had three hits and scored three runs while Makayla Hall had three hits and scored twice and Loggins had a homer and double as Mid-Mo Evolution won. Olivia Brinkley tripled for Rolla Superior.
