Audience members who attend Ozark Actors Theatre's production of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” will hear a cornucopia of musical styles — from country western and calypso to bubble-gum pop and rock'n'roll.
Audience members who attend Ozark Actors Theatre’s production of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” will hear a cornucopia of musical styles — from country western and calypso to bubble-gum pop and rock’n’roll.
The play, the second in the theater’s summer series, Mistaken Identities, will be performed starting this Thursday night at the Cedar Street Playhouse, 701 N. Cedar St. in Rolla.
The musical follows the Biblical saga of Joseph and his coat of many colors and his adventures.
Performances are scheduled for Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from July 10-20.

Ozark Actors Theatre has assembled a cast from New York, Louisiana and Arkansas, as well as local talent from Rolla, St. James, Cuba, Mo., and St. Robert, with 19 locals ages 6-16 as part of the Youth Chorus.
Jon Andrew will portray Joseph in the performances.
Tickets are $20 for adults, $16 for active military or groups of 15-plus and $12 for college students and children 17 and under. Groups of 15 or more need to call the box office for group sales.

Ozark Actors Theatre is one of two professional theaters in out-state Missouri and operates under a contract with Actors’ Equity Association, the union of professional actors and stage managers in the United States.
This year marks the 27th season of OAT.
Other upcoming performances by OAT this summer include the cabaret series set for Monday, July 14, and Monday, Aug. 4, the annual talent showcase “Follies” July 26 and the third play in the Mistaken Identities summer season, “The Drowsy Chaperone” which runs Thursday through Sundays from July 31 to Aug. 10.
