  • An Edgar Springs woman died Thursday morning after being ejected from a pickup truck in Miller County.

  • An Edgar Springs woman died Thursday morning after being ejected from a pickup truck in Miller County.
    Debra K. Harris, 58, was killed in the crash that occurred on Route U, fourth-tenths of a mile north of Route EE that occurred at 8 a.m., according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
    The patrol stated Harris was driving a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado southbound when the vehicle traveled off the right side of the road, overcorrected and then returned to the road. The vehicle then crossed the centerline twice before traveling off the right side of the road. The truck then struck a fence and overturned several times, ejecting Harris.
    She was pronounced dead at 10:22 a.m. at University Hospital in Columbia.
    The patrol stated Harris was not wearing a seat belt. The vehicle was totaled.
    Fox Funeral Home in Licking is handling arrangements for Harris.
    Visitation will be Wednesday, July 9, from 9-11 a.m. in the Fox Chapel, with a service set for 11 a.m. Interment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Edgar Springs.
