  • Two people were sent to the hospital after being involved in a three-vehicle pileup in the 1800 block of North U.S. Highway 63 late Monday afternoon.
According to the Rolla Police Department, a 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue driven by Piper J. Grogg, of Rolla, was not able to stop soon enough for stopped traffic ahead of her and struck the rear of a 2008 Hyundai Elantra driven by Ryan Westcott, of Vichy.
The Elantra was then pushed into the back of a 2001 Jeep Cherokee driven by Timothy Morse, of Dixon.
Both Westcott and Grogg were taken to Phelps County Regional Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries, according to the police. Westcott suffered a laceration to his scalp and Grogg was given a neck brace but had no visible injury, police said.
    No other injuries were reported.
There was major damage to the Oldsmobile and Hyundai and moderate damage to the Jeep.
