  • ST. JAMES – This Saturday, June 21, let’s “Light It Up Blue” in St. James! For the second year, Hutcheson Ford is hosting its “$6K in a Day” Drive For Your Community Challenge, and this time it’s for Autism Speaks.
Across the world, Autism Speaks has become the “leading autism science and advocacy organization, dedicated to funding research into the causes, prevention, treatments and a cure for autism; increasing awareness of autism spectrum disorders; and advocating for the needs of individuals with autism and their families” (AutismSpeaks.org).
This year’s fundraiser was inspired by Cindy Wiggins, a local Autism Speaks representative who has worked tirelessly to support her autistic son, Chris. It is our honor to support this organization by hosting this community-minded event for those who march to the beat of their own drum.
Raising up to $6k in a Day is made possible by Ford Motor Company’s Drive For Your Community program.
This event will be both family-friendly and perfect for a sunny afternoon! Come enjoy free popcorn, free gift bags, a Tri-County Humane Society Pet Adoption booth, and lunch by the St. James Marketplace Café.
For every person* who takes the wheel and test-drives a new Ford vehicle at Hutcheson Ford on Saturday, June 21, Ford Motor Company will donate $20 to the St. Louis branch of Autism Speaks.
This money will be used to support those in the Missouri autistic community with educational seminars, research, and fundraising.
“Those who fight to support the autistic in our community, whether it’s friends or family, deserve our utmost respect”, said Mike Tucker, Vice-President of Hutcheson Ford. “Providing this ‘$6k in a Day’ Fundraiser is just one way that we can show our support as well.”
The event, which will be held from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., will feature many vehicles from Ford’s expansive line-up. Dealership staff and volunteers will be on site to assist with all Ford vehicles and provide additional information about each option available for test-drive.
For more information, visit us at www.hutchesonford.com.
*Participants must be 18 or older and have a valid driver’s license. There is a limit of one test-drive per household. All test-drives will last approximately 7-10 minutes.
