  • Betsy Dudenhoeffer, center, the new regional coordinator from The Food Bank for Central and Northeast Missouri, presents Jim Woodman, left, Rolla Post Office postmaster, left, and Dan Beck, right, customer service supervisor, with a cake in recognition of the work and efforts of the Rolla area postal carriers, who helped raise over 23,000 pounds of food in the 2014 Stamp Out Hunger campaign. That total includes both food donations from local Rolla residents and monetary donations. The Food Bank uses money donated to generate 15 pounds of food for every $1 donated. All monetary and food donations stay local in the Rolla area. Some of the agencies that will receive the food from this year’s drive include The Salvation Army, Phelps County Faith distribution, and the mobile distribution that happens in the Greentree Church parking lot. For information about food distributions or to make any donations, call Dudenhoeffer at 573-690-4390, email her at betsyd@sharefoodbringhope.org or visit www.sharefoodbringhope.org.
