Graham-Gelles finished second in the doubles competition to advance to Class 2 Sectional action, to also be held at Waynesville Tuesday, starting at 4 p.m.
The top two singles players and top two doubles teams moved on from the individual district tourney to sectionals.
The winners of the sectional matches advance to the Class 2 Individual State Tournament, to be held May 30-31 at the Cooper Tennis Complex in Springfield.
Other sectional qualifiers from Saturday’s Class 2 District 10 event were Micah Klousia of Springfield Glendale and Dallas Seemster of Springfield Hillcrest in the singles bracket and the Glendale doubles team of Kaden Fulk-Spencer Weller.

Rolla’s other doubles team, Jarod Rieth-Parker Nesbitt, beat Zach Dixon-Luke Limming of Hillcrest 6-0, 6-0 in the first round then was eliminated by Chad Howerton-Bennett Brown of Lebanon 6-2, 6-3.
    In singles play for RHS:

“We’re real excited,” said RHS coach Cody Kennedy of getting his doubles squad to sectionals. “We talked about it and thought that doubles is probably our strength and they way we wanted to go. And they did really well.
“Right now they’re playing really well. They’ve just got to play with confidence and move the ball around.”
