More than 100 pieces of art created by students at Missouri University of Science and Technology will be on display through May 15 in the Havener Center on the Missouri S&T campus as part of the ninth annual Student Art Show, titled “Miner Muses.”

More than 100 pieces of art created by students at Missouri University of Science and Technology will be on display through May 15 in the Havener Center on the Missouri S&T campus as part of the ninth annual Student Art Show, titled “Miner Muses.”
A reception will be held at 5 p.m. Monday, May 12, in the atrium of the Havener Center. The reception will feature live music, refreshments and a public vote for “Best of Show.” The reception is open to the public.
The show will include paintings, drawings, block prints, ceramics, jewelry and sculpture from 90 Missouri S&T students.
Lara Edwards, a senior in biological sciences from Rolla, will premiere the first seven pages of her 35-page cartoon magazine in 24-inch-by-36-inch format.
Rachel Skipper, a senior in geological engineering from Fayette, will present her painting, which was commissioned by the Missouri S&T arts, languages and philosophy department for a fall production.
Some pieces will also be available for purchase.
