Host Newburg seeded No. 5.

Newburg High School will host the Missouri Class 1 District 9 Baseball Tournament May 17-21 at the Newburg High School Field.

Tuscumbia is the No. 1 seed while Crocker is seeded No. 2, Macks Creek No. 3, Stoutland No. 4, host Newburg No. 5 and St. Elizabeth No. 6.

Tuscumbia and Crocker receive first-round byes.

In first-round games on Saturday, May 17, Macks Creek plays St. Elizabeth at noon while Newburg takes on Stoutland at 2 p.m.

In semifinal games on Tuesday, May 20, Tuscumbia plays the Newburg-Stoutland winner at 4 p.m. while Crocker takes on the Macks Creek-St. Elizabeth winner at 6 p.m.

The championship game is slated for 5 p.m. Wednesday, May 21.

The winner of District 9 will meet the District 10 champion in Class 1 Sectional action Monday, May 26. Schools in District 10 include Bunceton, Calvary Lutheran, Jamestown, New Franklin, Pilot Grove and Prairie Home.

The sectional survivor moves on to quarterfinal play on May 28.
