Bullpups sweep past Waynesville.

The Rolla Junior High School freshman baseball team swept a doubleheader over Waynesville on Thursday.

Rolla won the opener 11-1 and took the nightcap 15-4.

In the first game Jacob Sloan was the winning pitcher for Rolla, walking two, allowing two hits and fanning five.

Jacob Lopez had a triple, single and two RBI for the Bullpups while Hunter Skaggs, Joey Cook, Grant Akins and Sloan all had a hit. Lopez, Cook, Akins and Sloan all scored two runs while Hayden Lowe, Justin Evans and Nick Roshan all scored one.

In the second game Cook was the winning pitcher, allowing four runs on four hits and four walks. Skaggs, Lopez, Akins and Sloan all had two hits, with Lopez getting a triple and Akins a double. Cook, Larry Duke, Evans and Connor Lecroix all had hits. Cook scored three runs while Lopez, Duke, Akins, Lowe and Skaggs all scored twice and Evans and Lecroix once.
