  • RHS golfers drop Waynesville

  • Bulldogs end regular season; district tourney next.

  • The Rolla High School boys’ golf team ended its regular season by defeating Waynesville 160-198 in a dual meet Thursday at Oak Meadow Country Club.
    Jake Drewniak shot one-over-par 35 to lead Rolla while Mark Martin shot 40, Ben Burris 42, Peter Beaugard 43 and Denver Spurgeon 47.
    The Rolla junior varsity team also won 202-228.
    Joseph Lee shot 40 to lead the Rolla jayvee squad while Jonah Heitman shot 48, Josh Fels 54, Mason Green 60 and Jeremy Dalton 68.
    The Bulldogs are to compete in the Missouri Class 4 District 5 Tournament on Monday at Old Kinderhook Golf Course in Camdenton.
    District schools include Rolla, Camdenton, Springfield Central, Columbia Hickman, Jefferson City, Lebanon, Columbia Rock Bridge, Sedalia Smith-Cotton, Waynesville and Willard.
    The top two teams, plus top 15 additional individuals, move on from the district tourney to Class 4 Section 3 Tournament action, to be held May 12 at the Carthage Municipal Golf Course.
