Lady Bulldogs move up in latest Class 2 state poll.

The Rolla High School girls’ soccer team, coming off a win over a fellow state-ranked opponent, has moved up in the Missouri Class 2 state poll, it was announced on Friday.

The state poll is conducted by the Missouri State High School Soccer Coaches Association (MSHSSCA).

RHS has moved from No. 7 to tied for No. 5 in the Class 2 state poll.

Nationally-ranked Visitation, which defeated Rolla earlier in the month, is No. 1 in the Class 2 state poll. Union, which lost to Rolla 1-0 on Wednesday, moves from No. 9 to No. 8. And Jefferson City Helias, which could be a future RHS opponent in the district tournament championship game, is ranked No. 7.

Rolla and Helias hook up in a regular-season game May 13 in Rolla.

In Class 3 St. Teresa’s Academy is the top-ranked team while Duchesne tops Class 1.

Joining Rolla as an Ozark Conference state-ranked school is Springfield Glendale, which is No. 9 in Class 3. Another OC school, Camdenton, received votes for the state poll in Class 3, although not enough to crack the top-10.

Rolla is scheduled to host Camdenton on Thursday and host Glendale on May 6.
