  • In observance of Optimist International's Respect for Law Week, the Rolla Optimist Club will host its Respect for Law Banquet Wednesday, May 7.

  • In observance of Optimist International's Respect for Law Week, the Rolla Optimist Club will host its Respect for Law Banquet Wednesday, May 7.
    The dinner will begin at 5:45 p.m. at the Lions Club Den at Lions Club Park in Rolla.
    The cost of the dinner is $10 per person which can be paid at the door.
    Each year, the club takes this opportunity to invite members of the legal community and law enforcement agencies in the county to join the club at one of its weekly meetings for recognition for their service to the community.
    The group also recognizes private individuals or law enforcement officers for their extraordinary contributions to the community through their   Bramlett-Light Award.
    For their second year, the group will recognize a woman for her public service through the presentation of the Sheffield-Kenley Award.
