On future district site at Old Kinderhook.

The Rolla High School boys’ golf team placed 20th in a 28-school field Wednesday at the Camdenton Invitational, held Wednesday at the Old Kinderhook Golf Course.

Columbia Rock Bridge and Rockhurst tied for first in the team standings with 317. Rock Bridge won the championship on a fifth-man tiebreaker.
Rolla shot 364.

“We took our first real misstep of the season,” RHS coach Zack Nixon said of Wednesday. “The wind was gusting in circles and the greens were recently aerated, but everyone was playing the same course.

“This will be the district course in 2 1/2 weeks, so hopefully the boys learned a few things.”

Senior Mark Martin led Rolla with 10-over-par 81, just two shots from medaling.

Joplin’s Nick Yuhas was the meet medalist, shooting 68.
