Lady Tigers fall in PKs, 3-1.
The St. James High School girls’ soccer team was beaten by Laquey in penalty kicks on Tuesday in non-conference play.
Laquey got the event by winning 3-1 in PKs.
Skyla Risner got the goal for St. James, now 0-2. The Lady Tigers had nine shots on goal.
Tylar Reeves made eight saves in goal for St. James.
“The girls played extremely well as a team,” said St. James head coach Traci Bahr. “I am extremely proud of how hard the girls worked. They never gave up, specifically Ashlynn Nelsen and Caity Dillard (captains) for keeping the team elevated.”
Weather permitting, the Lady Tigers are scheduled to play again Thursday, hosting Belle at the St. James Middle School Field at 4:30 p.m.
