STJ improves to 5-3 with make-up game win.

The St. James High School boys' basketball improved to 5-3 with a non-conference, 62-50 win over Salem on Tuesday.

The game was a make-up of an earlier postponement.

St. James took a 14-9 lead after the first period and stretched that advantage to 32-20 by halftime. St. James led by as much as 23 points in the third period and went into the fourth quarter up 55-35.

Senior forward Addison Conway had 13 points and eight rebounds for St. James while senior guard Jamal Sconiers had 13 points and two steals, junior guard Logan Courtois 13 points and junior guard Elye Rogers five assists.

Zayne Kyser netted 13 points for Salem.

Salem won the junior varsity game 61-33. Kameron Barber had 10 points for the St. James jayvee squad.
