Because I try not to guess at substantive issues, I ask a lot of questions. Of course when I’m just kidding around, I’ll ask, “If a baker marries his sister, is he inbred twice?” This goes over big on any call or business dealing where the last thing service personnel ask is, “Do you have any questions?”
Because I try not to guess at substantive issues, I ask a lot of questions. Of course when I’m just kidding around, I’ll ask, “If a baker marries his sister, is he inbred twice?” This goes over big on any call or business dealing where the last thing service personnel ask is, “Do you have any questions?” I don’t know why, but this is especially popular in Arkansas, ancestral home of the Clintons.
Seriously, if a President shreds the Constitution, do we have the right to civilly disobey? Barry’s own law, Obamacare wasn’t written with words like “but if this happens” or “may be changed by executive fiat whenever the President has eaten a bad oyster or became high from some choom” or “the President shall take on the powers of a monarchy. His and only His word may be defined as law—May he live long and stay the Hell away from us.”
It used to be reasonably clear who made the laws, who signed them and who enforced them. Executive changes were made, but never 15 major law-breaking attacks. This is like a rash of knockout games on 1/6th of our economy.
The ACA was solid, not to be touched by anyone. That was made quite clear by the vicious attacks on the likes of Senators Ted Cruz and Mike Lee when they tried to legislate what the President is doing by whim. The President’s legislating laws must be done through Congress. No law should be changed other than by Congress that expresses itself with such language as “shall be,” not maybe.
More people registered disgust over what GLAAD and A&E did to Phil Robertson and the Duck Dynasty than have signed up for Obamacare in three months. If this keeps on, and it will, the death spiral of Obamacare will drag the country down an economic and health care abyss.
Don’t we have the right--in fact duty--to make sure the Constitution is enforced?
One option is civil disobedience:
• In 1930 India’s Mohandas Gandhi began a march in defiance of the British overtaking the salt industry of India. He succeeded at getting the Brits to back off and India’s independence from the UK followed in 1947.
• Anyone who took a drink during the 13-year reign of the Volstead Act. It was repealed in 1933.
• The 1773 Boston Tea Party was an act of defiance against the British adding taxes to the colonies on tea they sold to them. Those taxes weren’t authorized because there was no representation for the Americans in Parliament on tax laws. This was one of the causes of the Revolution—and the namesake of Tea Parties in America. By the way, we kicked British arse during the Revolutionary War.
• Martin Luther King, Jr. leading marches in Birmingham against lunch counter and hiring discrimination against blacks.
Obama once said that he couldn’t govern if National Health Care wasn’t backed by a majority of the American people. Yet, at 35% support and dropping, Obama insists on digging in his heels. Now desperate, he’s flinging dictatorial orders at Americans and the insurance companies faster than a dog catching Frisbees in rapid-fire. These commands contradict the law he was proud to be named after while shredding the Constitution he swore to defend.
Meanwhile, polls favoring Republicans over Democrats in the 2014 midterms have shown a staggering switch. In two months, from October to December, Repubs have gained 13% on the Dems, leading them by seven percent.
Obama and the Dems who shilled for him may be looking at more than lost elections or civil disobedience.
This isn’t some foreign war that people are concerned with but few are hurt personally by. This is about everyone’s personal relationship with their insurance, doctors, hospitals and budget. We’re talking about life and death issues in a system that is disintegrating before our eyes—all because of one party and their President.
The only people who are in favor of obeying this law are like those who were allergic to alcohol during Prohibition.
Obama may be conducting a scenario that would be ripe for Civil War.
Martial Law, anyone?
