Joseph William Martin was born on September 17, 1969 in Sedalia, MO. He passed away on December 24, 2013 in Rolla, MO.
Joe was a local to Rolla at a young age. He attended the Rolla public schools while growing up in the Rolla/Vida area. After high school, he joined his father in the construction trade.
Later on, he started his travels that took him to California, joining E Clampus Vitus, Hawaii and Oklahoma. After several years he returned to Rolla for its peaceful quietness and family. Upon his return, he quickly became a member of Central Missouri Trikers and became chapter director in the first year. He is responsible for the group doing Trick or Treat on Pine Street in Rolla as well as the backpack for kids program supporting local schools.
His hobbies included trike building, air brushing and general construction.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Floyd (Popeye) and Eunice Brown of Rolla as well as his father, Jerry Martin of Rolla.
Joe will be sadly missed by his surviving family which includes: his mother, Sharon Martin and Richard Raglin of Maui, Hawaii; a sister, Tammy Martin of Rolla; a brother, Jacob Martin of Rolla; nieces, Kristin Martin of California and Casey Hill of McKinney, TX; nephew, Chase Prather of Rolla; other extended family members and many dear friends.
A funeral service for Joseph Martin will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Monday, December 30, 2013 at the Null and Son Funeral Home of Rolla. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday evening, Dec. 29 at the funeral home.
