Haslag, Wright selected to Capital One 2013 squad.

Missouri S&T's Krista Haslag and Hayley Wright were named to the 2013 Capital One Academic All-District first team as voted one by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). It's the fifth straight year the Miners have been represented on the Academic All-District team and the third straight year they've had a player selected to the first team. Both players are now eligible for the Capital One Academic All-America team which will be released in December.

Haslag and Wright are tied for the team lead in kills with each averaging 2.46 per set. Haslag leads the team in blocks with 1.30 per set and is amongst the league and national leaders in blocking. Wright leads S&T in service aces with 26 and is second on the team in digs with 237.

Haslag and Wright join Julie Meyer (2009) and Jennifer Costello (2010-12) as the only players in program history to earn this honor.

The Capital One Division II Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structure to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2012-13 Capital One D-II Academic All-America® teams program.
