Navigators from the Central Missouri Area Agency on Aging (CMAAA) will give a presentation about enrolling in the Missouri health insurance marketplace at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3, at the Rolla Public Library located at 900 Pine St. in Rolla.
For those unable to attend this event, CMAAA navigators will offer another presentation Sunday, Dec. 8, also at 2 p.m. at the library.
It is estimated that 18 percent of Phelps County residents under age 64 are without health insurance coverage.
CMAAA's navigators are federally-certified and state-licensed and can help people through the marketplace enrollment process, including creating a marketplace account, applying through the marketplaces, comparing health insurance plans side-by-side and finding out if people are eligible for financial help to pay for coverage.
All plans in the marketplace cover essential health benefits and pre-existing conditions and more. Navigators do not charge for their services.
