The Capable Kids and Families play group will meet Tuesday, Oct. 29, from 11 a.m. to noon at The Community Partnership, 1101 Hauck Drive, Rolla. For information about The Community Partnership's Capable Kids and Families Program, contact Jean Darnell at 368-2849.
Read From the Start Program will take place Tuesday, Oct. 29, at 6 p.m. at the Rolla Public Library. This is a free parent-only workshop sponsored by the Missouri Humanities Council. Participants can take home seven free books at the end of the program. Child care and refreshments will be provided. The Rolla Area Chamber of Commerce will host a web-based marketing seminar Tuesday, Oct. 29, from 8:30–10 a.m. at The Centre, 1200 Holloway St. The cost is $10 for Chamber members and $15 for non-members. Reservations are required. The Meramec Regional Community Foundation (MRCF) will host a Fundraising Institute, a three-hour workshop will be held 9 a.m. to noon, Tuesday, Oct. 29, at the Meramec Regional Planning Commission (MRPC) office located at 4 Industrial Drive in St. James. The Traumatic Brain Injury Support Group meets the final Tuesday of the month. This month, the group will meet Tuesday, Oct. 29, at 6:30 p.m. at Christ Episcopal Church, 10th and Main streets, Rolla.
A Title I Family Read-In will take place Tuesday, Oct. 29, from 4:30-5:30 p.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran School gym and cafeteria. There wil be cookies and milk for a snack. Participants will read in the dark. They may wear school appropriate Halloween costumes after classes. Bring an Advanced Reading book and a flashlight. Extra books and flashlights will be provided.
