Read From the Start Program will take place Tuesday, Oct. 29, at 6 p.m. at the Rolla Public Library. This is a free parent-only workshop sponsored by the Missouri Humanities Council. The Meramec Regional Community Foundation (MRCF) will host a Fundraising Institute, a three-hour workshop will be held 9 a.m. to noon, Tuesday, Oct. 29, at the Meramec Regional Planning Commission (MRPC) office located at 4 Industrial Drive in St. James. The Traumatic Brain Injury Support Group meets the final Tuesday of the month. This month, the group will meet Tuesday, Oct. 29, at 6:30 p.m. at Christ Episcopal Church, 10th and Main streets, Rolla.
A Title I Family Read-In will take place Tuesday, Oct. 29, from 4:30-5:30 p.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran School gym and cafeteria. There wil be cookies and milk for a snack. Participants will read in the dark. They may wear school appropriate Halloween costumes after classes. Bring an Advanced Reading book and a flashlight. Extra books and flashlights will be provided.
