The Rolla Marching Bulldog Brigade Band and their boosters will host the 2013 Route 66 Marching Band Festival at Rolla High School stadium Saturday, Oct. 19, starting at 2 p.m.

• Class AA: Owensville, Salem, Fulton, School of the Osage.
• Class AAA: Waynesville, Washington, Union, Eureka.
"The last band festival to be held in Rolla was in 2008. It has come back due to the high school stadium getting turf," said John Slowensky, Rolla schools band director, .
Handicapped parking will be available along the fence line of the stadium and preferred parking for $10 per car, will also be available.
The entry fee into the event is $7 per adult, $5 per child under 12 years old and $5 for those 65 and older. Programs and concessions will also be sold.
In addition to the 12 marching bands, the RHS Marching Bulldog Brigade Band will exhibit "Journey to Freedom," its competition piece.
"The Route 66 committee has been working hard to make this festival one that the competing bands will want to return to next year," said Chairman Mitch Lewis. "The support of the local businesses has been wonderful and we appreciate everyone who has purchased an ad for the program or has donated goods and services."
