Work involving signal upgrades, grading, drainage and paving to add turn lanes at the interchange of Route V and Interstate 44 is ongoing. According to the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT), crews will install signals and lighting this coming week. Lamke Trenching and Excavating of Marthasville is contracted for the construction work. The project is scheduled for completion later this fall. The total project cost is expected to be just more than $600,000 with the City of Rolla contributing $220,000 of that cost. MoDOT is funding an additional $232,155 through its cost-share program, and the remaining $155,500 is being funded by the Delta Regional Authority.
