Lady Wolves improve record to 13-2.

The Newburg High School softball team improved to 13-2 on Monday by beating Steelville 12-3.

Newburg tallied two runs in the top of the first inning, three in the second, two in the third, two in the fifth, one in the sixth and two in the seventh.
Steelville got three in the fifth.

Senior Shelby Friend threw a complete game for the Lady Wolves, allowing two hits while striking out 15.

Courtney Suschanke went 3-for-5 with three RBI while Shelby Friend had a triple, double and single and Seeley Friend had a double and two RBI for the winners.
