Missouri S&T's baseball team will hold a number of camps during the latter portion of the 2013 calendar year for youth and high school baseball players in the Miner Dome.

On Dec. 6 and 7, S&T will hold Little Hitters Camp for children ages six through nine. The camp will run from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6 and from 9-11 a.m. the following day at a cost of $45. The camp will cover all aspects of hitting, including tee drills, toss drills and live hitting.

Also on Dec. 7, S&T will hold a pitching camp for children ages 10 through 14, which will cover the basics of pitching at the youth level. The camp, which will provide drills to improve mechanics and arm strength, will run from 12-2 p.m. at a cost of $35. It is limited to the first 14 to sign up.

The following week, Missouri S&T will hold four camps, the first a two-day hitting camp for children ages 10 through 14. The camp will take place on Friday, Dec. 13 from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 14 from 9-11 a.m. at a cost of $55.

On Dec. 14 and 15, S&T will hold three camps for high school players, beginning with a hitting camp for individuals ages 15 through 18 from 12-2 p.m. at a cost of $65. The camp will cover all aspects of hitting as well as analysis and strength training and will be limited to the first 28 to sign up.

S&T will then hold a two-day catchers camp that will run from 3-4 p.m. on the two days at a cost of $40. The catcher camp will focus on areas such as framing, blocking, recovering, throwing mechanics, signs and other catching drills players can do on their own.

From 4-6 p.m. on those days, S&T will hold a pitching camp for high school age players that will cover the basics on mechanics, fielding the position and preparing for the high school and college seasons. The cost for this camp is also $65.

For all camps, players must bring proper equipment, including footwear.

Missouri S&T's baseball team, led by head coach Todd DeGraffenreid, won the Great Lakes Valley Conference West Division championship in 2011 and 2012 and has played in each of the last three GLVC Tournaments. The Miners also took part in the 2011 NCAA Division II Midwest Regional in the first of their back-to-back 30-win seasons.
