  • The Rolla High School volleyball team lost in straight games to Jefferson City High 25-17, 25-21 Tuesday at the RHS gym.
Junior Aarika Froehlich had seven kills, two blocks, one ace, one assist and three digs for Rolla while Kelsi James had 10 assists and six digs; Jessi Kaczmarek 14 digs and Gabe Otte seven digs.
"We played solid but not good enough," said RHS head coach Julie Carver. "We have to get better in all phases of the game to beat teams of that caliber.
"That being said, we had some moments where we put all the pieces together and looked really good and really efficient. We just have to do that more often and eliminate the runs we are giving up. The kids have to understand we have to keep working hard and keep getting better."
The Lady Bulldogs are scheduled to play at Joplin tonight (4:30 p.m.).
