Senior pitcher Jade DeShurley allowed no earned runs in helping pitch the Rolla High School softball team to a 8-4 Ozark Conference victory over Springfield Kickapoo on Monday.
Rolla improves to 8-5 overall and 3-2 in the OC.
DeShurley was the starting and winning pitcher, allowing four hits and five walks despite six Lady Bulldog errors.
Rolla outhit the Kickapoo Lady Chiefs 12-4.
DeShurley was 3-for-4 with a triple, double, four RBI and a run scored for the Lady Bulldogs while Kayla Reed had two doubles and two RBI; Anna Feeler was 2-for-4 with two runs; Sydney Wells had a hit and two runs scored; Baeleigh Barr had a hit and RBI; Meredith Sowers and Taylor Hance each had a hit and scored a run; Amy Black had a hit, and Maegan Ray scored a run and had a sacrifice bunt.
The junior varsity game ended in a 3-3 tie after five innings.
Skylar Turner pitched for the Rolla jayvee squad. Mackenzie Masters and Turner each had a hit and scored a run and Becca Roark scored for the RHS jayvee team.
The Lady Bulldogs are scheduled to play another league game today at Camdenton (4:30 p.m.).
