The Missouri S&T football team dropped a double-overtime thriller in its season opener Thursday night, falling to No. 20-ranked Chadron State 40-34 in double-overtime at Allgood-Bailey Stadium.

Chadron State's Lane Haller intercepted a pass and returned it 79 yards for the winning touchdown to end the second overtime period.
