The Community Partnership's Linking Hearts Adoption Fair will be held Friday, Sept. 20, from 5-7 p.m. at Lions Club Park in Rolla.
There are nearly 2,000 children in Missouri who are hoping for a home to call their own.
For the past nine years, this event has brought together almost 500 children seeking adoption, and more than 250 families hoping to become adoptive parents.
One of The Community Partnership's most important partners in this event is Missouri University of Science and Technology’s Greek community (the Interfraternity and Panhellenic Councils), which provides hundreds of volunteers, a free cookout and family-style carnival of interactive games and booths.
These activities give children and families the opportunity to interact and learn more about each other.
This one-day community-wide event held each September has resulted in permanent homes for at least 50 children.
People interested in becoming a foster and/or adoptive parent should consider attending this event.
