Construction is on schedule at the new 25,000-square-foot Brewer Science facility at Rolla National Airport near Vichy, according to M. Loretta Wallis, corporate relations manager for Brewer Science.
“We believe that we will be in our new building the first quarter of 2014,” Wallis said.
At a groundbreaking for the new $20 million high-volume manufacturing building held April 30, it was noted that the company’s expansion will create 65 new high-tech jobs over the next five years.
Wallis said Brewer Science will be posting career opportunities on its website at www.brewerscience. “I would encourage people to check our career pages frequently so that they are aware of opportunities at Brewer Science,” she said.
The new Brewer Science building will follow Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) guidelines and use geothermal systems for heating and cooling.
The building also will have infrastructure that meets or exceeds International Organization for Standardization (ISO) requirements.
Brewer Science is part of Missouri's emerging I-44 technology corridor, which spans the state from St. Louis to Joplin.
“We are pleased to be a Missouri manufacturer, a part of the Tech-44 Corridor and a provider of products that are found inside smartphones, tablets, LED-televisions, laptops, cameras, electronic games, automotive displays, sensors and other electronic devices,” Wallis said.
