  • "Get yer' peaches!" There are still plenty of peaches available for the ABLE (Achieving Better Lifestyles for Elderly) Commission's annual fundraiser.
Orders of peaches will run through July 19. Half a bushel costs $20 and a three-quarter bushel costs $30.
The money raised will go toward the group's general fund for activities and upkeep of the ABLE commission.
The non-profit is headquartered in the historic Holloway House which serves as Rolla's senior service community center.
The peaches come from Campbell, Mo.
According to organizer Edna Bridges, a person couldn't find a better tasting peach. She along with other members of the commission will make the all-day trip down and back to the orchard later this month.
They will have the fresh and juicy fruit packaged and ready to be picked by July 26.
