The National Association of Health Care Assistants (NAHCA) is pleased to announce that Karen Wann, a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at the Missouri Veterans Home in St. James, was recently honored at the association’s 19th annual Key to Quality?Awards Banquet held in Oklahoma City on June 20.
Karen was the recipient of the ?NAHCA Team Leader Award?. The recipient of this award is an outstanding supporter of the ?team approach? and provides quality resident care.
This person not only works well as a team player, but also stands out as a leader. The recipient must have at least two years of experience working as a CNA or direct caregiver.
It was expressed at the NAHCA Awards Banquet that: ?Karen is a top notch team leader because she treats everyone like she would want to be treated and like she would treat her family.
