  • Ben Menary blasted a pair of homers, a double, a single and scored four times to help lift Grisham Backhoe & Excavating to a 16-12 victory over American Home Builders Thursday in the opening week of the Rolla Coed Softball League's Middle Division second-half schedule at Ber Juan Park.
    Mike Clardy added a pair of doubles, a single and scored three times for the winners while Shawn Moriarty had a homer, double and single. Duane Spurgeon had two doubles, a single and scored four runs while Trevor White had a double, single and scored three times and Cody Woody had four hits for American Home Builders.
    In other coed games from Thursday:

    Middle Division
    Wave Internet 21, American Home Builders 1: Sarah Duckworth went 4-for-4 with four runs scored while Luke Miller had a homer and three singles and Randy Gresham and Nikki Robinson each had three hits and scored three runs as Wave Internet won. White tripled and scored the lone run for American Home Builders.

    Wave Internet 19, J&S Small Engine Repair 1: Gresham went 5-for-5 and scored three runs while Chad Henson slugged a pair of homers and two singles and Koree Claxton had four hits and scored three runs as Wave Internet won. John Hayes had three hits and scored the lone run for J&S Small Engine Repair.

    Jarvis Home Improvement 14, J&S Small Engine Repair 9: Mike Sparks was 3-for-3 and scored three runs while James Gapsch had a homer, double and single and Beth Terrill had three hits as Jarvis Home Improvement won. Bryan Furse had a homer, double and scored twice and Billy Rhodes had a triple and single for J&S Small Engine Repair.

    Middle B Division
    Central Missouri Sportscards 25, High-Tech Roofing 2: Jason Foster, Kristi Curtis, Rob Hribar and Larry Chrisco each had three hits and scored three runs while Brett Gresham had two triples and scored three runs as Central Missouri Sportscards won. Sean Kelley and Mariah Vincent scored for High-Tech Roofing.

    4J Archery/Mike's Car Care 14, High-Tech Roofing 8: Ben Menary had three doubles and scored three runs while Brian Arthur had three hits and scored two runs and Nate Brown had a triple and single as 4J Archery/Mike's Car Care won. Katlyn Meirer had three hits and scored three runs and Zach Maedgen had a double, single and scored twice for High-Tech Roofing.

    Katie @ Tara Day Spa 9, 4J Archery/Mike's Car Care 8: Travis Blunt's single drove in Justina Lewis with the winning run in the sixth inning as Katie @ Tara Day Spa won. Blunt had four hits and scored twice while Doy Graham homered and Tim Conger doubled and scored twice for the winners. Shelia Arthur and Brown each had two hits and scored two runs for 4J Archery/Mike's Car Care.

    Phelps County Bank 11, Katie @ Tara Day Spa 8: Dustin Woody smacked two homers while Chad Snelson had a double, single and scored three runs and Trevor White had a homer, single and scored twice as Phelps County Bank won. Masen Ridenhour had two homers and Graham also homered for Katie @ Tara Day Spa.

    Lower Division
    Benchmark Healthcare 21, S&T Staff 3: Dan Karnes had a homer and two singles while Trevor Higbie had three hits and scored four runs and Tessa Piat and Alesha Snodgrass each scored three runs as Benchmark Healthcare won. Kevin Chambers had two hits and scored a run for S&T Staff.

    Team Undecided 25, Misfits 3: Brad Woods had four hits and scored four runs while Tiffany Williams had three hits and scored four runs and Morgann Kleeschulte had three hits and scored three runs as Team Undecided won. Jennifer McWilliams, Nate Wallen and Robert McWilliams each singled and scored for Misfits.

    Party Pro 10, Tater Patch 3: Virgil Richards and Betsy Shockley each had two hits and scored twice as Party Pro won. Chris Kamprath had three hits and scored a run and Heather Jones had two hits and scored for Tater Patch.

    Rev 18, Rolla Bombers 1: Shawn Moriarty had a homer, two singles and scored three runs while Heather Moriarty had a triple, two singles and scored twice as Rev won. No last names were provided for Rolla Bombers.
