The Solar House Team, a student design team at Missouri University of Science and Technology, is hosting a night of music and drinks on summer solstice at the Public House Brewing Co. to raise awareness about the team and its projects.
“Solarfest” begins at 6 p.m. this Friday, June 21, at the Public House, located at 600 N. Pine St. in Rolla. The event will feature live music from several bands, a silent auction, wines from St. James Winery, a 50/50 raffle and barbecue dinner.
General admission tickets for the performances are $10. Premium admission tickets are $20 and include a meal, one drink ticket and five raffle tickets.
Tickets can be purchased at the Public House, University Book and Supply and Kent Jewelry. Proceeds from the event will support the team in its upcoming Solar Decathlon competition in Irvine, Calif.
