Local quilt artist Cynthia Harrell Felts is displaying several of her personal crafted quilts at the Rolla Public Library during the month of June.
Her display includes quilts pieced on her home sewing machine from old traditional patterns, hand-dyed fabrics, variegated thread art, modern art, hand-quilted and machine-quilted.
The exhibit includes her Paisley Lone Star quilt, which took first place in the 2011 Piece and Plenty Guild challenge, Waterwheels #3 quilt exhibited at the American Quilters Quilt Show (AQS) in Paducah, Ky., in 2012 and the striking Danica’s Pink Butterfly quilt published as one of three winners in the May 2011 American Quilters Magazine. Danica's Pink Butterfly quilt was also accepted for display at this year’s 2013 AQS Paducah, Ky., quilt show.
In addition, Felts has displayed her nine patch quilt she created as a sample for the beginner’s workshop she facilitated this past winter.
