Three informational sessions on how career-changers, paraprofessionals, long-term substitutes, parent volunteers and school staff can earn their teacher certifications online will take place this Saturday, June 15, at the Rolla Public Library.
Betsey Hamilton, representative for The American Board, an education nonprofit, will host the sessions to discuss the organization’s program and answer questions.
Sessions will begin at 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the library, located at 900 N. Pine St., Rolla.
People who hold a bachelor’s degree, and wish to become a certified teacher are encouraged to attend.
The American Board is authorized to certify Missouri educators in biology (grades nine through 12), chemistry (grades nine through 12), general science (grades five through 12), physics (grades nine through 12), mathematics (grades five through 12), English language (grades five through 12) and history (grades five through 12).
