National Day of Prayer Activities for Rolla will take place throughout the day Thursday, May 2. The theme of the event is “Pray for America.” The Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast is at 6:30 a.m. at the Havener Center at Missouri S&T. Speaker is Stanley A. Bower, St. Louis Area Director of Christian Businessmen’s Connection. Special music by Pam Widener. Breakfast Tickets are $12. There will be an evening service at First Assembly of God Church, a concert by “All Nations Christian Fellowship Choir” from 6:30-7 p.m.; and a service from 7-8 p.m. where local people will say a prayer for government, church, military, family, education, media and businesses. special music by Beverly Feller and short messages by Pastor Chuck Whitmire and Erin Davis.

The Piece and Plenty Quilt Guild will meet at 7:15 p.m. Thursday, May 2 at the Presbyterian Church. The program will be a "Trunk Show" by Laura Wasilowski.
