  • Rolla, St. James both get No. 4 seed.

  • The host Rolla High School baseball team has been seeded No. 4 for the Missouri Class 5 District 10 Tournament, to be held May 11-15 on the FCNB Field at Rolla's Bray Sports Complex.
    The district seeding meeting was held on Wednesday.
    Springfield Glendale, with a 13-8 record at the time of the seeding meeting, got the No. 1 seed while Lebanon (8-8) is seeded No. 2, Springfield Hillcrest (3-18) No. 3, Rolla (9-11) No. 4, Waynesville (5-14) No. 5 and Springfield Central (1-16) No. 6.
    Glendale and Lebanon got first-round byes.
    In first-round games on Saturday, May 11 Rolla plays Waynesville at noon while Hillcrest takes on Central at 2:30 p.m.
    In semifinal games on Monday, May 13 Glendale plays the Rolla-Waynesville winner at 4 p.m. while Lebanon takes on the Hillcrest-Central winner at 6:30 p.m.
    The championship game is set for 5 p.m. Wednesday, May 15.
    The District 10 champion will take on the District 9 champion at noon on May 21 at a location to be determined in Class 5 Sectional play. District 9 schools include Camdenton, Jefferson City High, Jefferson City Helias, Columbia Hickman, Columbia Rock Bridge and Sedalia Smith-Cotton.
    The sectional survivor moves on to quarterfinal play at noon on May 23.
    Class 4 District 9
    The St. James High baseball team has been seeded fourth for the Missouri Class 4 District 9 Tournament, to be held May 11-15 at Sullivan.
    The district seeded meeting was held on Tuesday, April 30.
    Host Sullivan is seeded No. 1 while Salem is seeded No. 2, Eldon No. 3, St. James No. 4, Osage No. 5 and Owensville No. 6
    Sullivan and Salem get first-round byes.
    In first-round games on Saturday, May 11 St. James plays Osage at 11 a.m. while Eldon takes on Owensville at 1:30 p.m.
    In semifinal games on Monday, May 13 Salem plays the Eldon-Owensville winner at 1:30 p.m. while Sullivan faces the St. James-Osage winner at 4 p.m.
    The championship game is set for 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 15.
    The District 9 champion will face the District 10 champion at noon on May 21 at a location to be determined in Class 4 Sectional play. District 10 schools include Aurora, Hollister, Logan-Rogersville, Marshfield, Mt. Vernon and Reeds Spring.
    The sectional winner moves on to quarterfinal play at noon on May 23.
