The Newburg Children’s Museum of Natural History will hold a children’s festival Saturday, May 11, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The museum, an annex to the Houston House, is located at 120 Water St., Suite B, Newburg.
Guided tours of the museum will take place at 10:15 a.m., 12:15 p.m. and 2:15 p.m.
ArtsRolla! will have art activities and a recycled art display. There also will be a free bar-be-cue lunch.
Live music will be offered throughout the day, starting at 10 a.m. with Pat and the Good Old Boys. At 11 a.m., the Rolla Community Children’s Choir will perform followed by Rosa Stringworks at noon. At 1 p.m. Dixie Union will perform and at 2 p.m. Bliss Hippy will play.
In addition, there will be snakes and birds on display, dog agility demonstrations, a pottery wheel, a blacksmith, rye coil baskets, Civil War exhibits, children’s games and story time. Hands-on science activities will be held at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
